Is it time to escape to the woods?

Is it time to escape to the woods? Or, maybe somewhere in nature?

Joan, our dog Eldred and I took time Saturday to immerse ourselves in nature. We drove the tree-lined scenic Wild Cat Canyon. It is a two-lane road covered with native Oak trees all the way to the top of the Berkeley hills. The Canyon leads to Tilden Park and we pulled over at the Brazil building parking lot.

All three of us sat in the warm sunshine grass amphitheater, overlooking Tilden Park State Botanical Garden. The company and atmosphere were better than a hot tub soak. I am so thankful we could pause for our mini nature escape. Even more, during this month of Thanksgiving, I have a list I am thankful for.

I am thankful for: the life I was given, the ability to follow a spiritual path, the people in my life, the deep faith given to me by my Mother, the open doors during my life, the helpful hands each step of the way, the lessons I have been given, the lessons I have taken to heart, and so much more.

I see magical connections to the Great Spirit in all of Nature. There is so much magic all around us, and I love it all.

What are you thankful for? Call us if there is some special handyman or electrical project we can help you with for your Thanksgiving celebration.
