Where do you donate your time?

Diablo Valley Lions Club of Walnut Creek celebrates another productive season. In July, we installed the officers for this upcoming year. I am pleased to be a member of this club. 

Our Installing Officers, Darlene and Bill Ridle, had special aprons made in our President, Michelle Strong’s, favorite color purple, and each of the incoming officers got one. The aprons were all titled “Michelle’s Team” to honor our continuing President. Darlene and Bill really know how to make installations fun. (Aren’t I really stylin’ the apron?!)

These last few years have been hard on all non-profit clubs. So, I am very proud that Diablo Valley Lions Club continues to give scholarships, support Special Kids Day, Adopt-a f-Family for Christmas, collect and sort eyeglasses for donation, donate to the Food Bank, donate school supplies in Concord, donate to the Contra Costa Lions Blind Center and volunteer in many other ways. 

We are all searching for fundraising ideas to help finance the cost of donating. This October, we will have a pasta feed with all donations going to the many causes we support. Even though the pasta feed will be in Pleasant Hill, you are more than welcome to attend; just buy a few tickets to support Lion’s causes.
