Have you ever had a project turn out bigger than you expected?

During these times I am concentrating on DIY projects at my home, while we shelter in place. New deck boards on our back deck, new fence boards on the patio and finish details in our coat closet under the stairs.

I just completed the wallboard in our “Harry Potter” coat closet, under the stairs. A bigger project than I expected, so many angles and corners for just 9 square feet. Only the sanding, texturing and new light fixture left. Wish me well!

Last week I started replacing deck boards on the patio. That too, was a bigger project than I expected. Upon removing the old deck boards, I found the support boards had to be replaced.

When the outdoor temperature got to 100 degrees, I tabled that project and am inside doing the “Harry Potter” closet. I will keep you posted about how the fence and deck progress.
