Here’s wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving (pssst … and my birthday, too!)

This Thursday is Thanksgiving.

And, we begin it with a Thanksgiving luncheon on Wednesday at Joan’s Mom’s senior care home. It just so happens it’s Mom’s 92nd birthday, too! Nothing like celebrating it with the entire place!

We are so blessed to have Mom here, just 20 minutes from us.

On Thanksgiving Day, we will bring Starbucks and pumpkin muffins to Mom’s apartment and watching the Thanksgiving Day parade with her. So enjoyable. I am always dazzled by the wonderful balloons in the parade. How do the human anchors not get blown away in the wind?

And, on Saturday, we will celebrate Mom’s birthday and my birthday (my 68th is the 29th) together with the rest of the family. Watch out Smith’s Landing restaurant, here we come.

Happy 92nd birthday to Mom, you are such an inspiration. And happy birthday to me, glad to have been able to enjoy another great year.

May all your blessings, large and small flood, your heart with love. Have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Did you know a grateful disposition reduces materialism, burnout & depression?

More and more science is showing, a grateful disposition reduces materialism, burnout and depression; it also makes you happier. My wife carries on her tradition of gratitude by sending handwritten notes to friends and family, for various events, holidays, birthdays and just because.

I am an extrovert, so I carry on my gratitude rituals by sharing small acts of kindness; opening doors for strangers, letting others in line first and going to lunch with friends.

I also think about what I am grateful for, while walking my dog. I am grateful for a special marriage, good health, being able to walk, having a dog (Eldred) to walk with, living in this beautiful area, and more.

I am happy to help you in being grateful for your life needs. Give us a call if you need any help with projects around your home.
