Each day begins with gratitude

Do you start your day with gratitude?

Joan, our dog Eldred, and I start our day with a Qigong movement, a prayer of sorts, related to gratitude.  It’s a three-part movement — “I am grateful for”, “I surrender to”, and “Give me the strength to meet the challenges of the day”. This movement with a few other energizing movements and words, raise my awareness of the flow of the day. I have found my days go much better starting the day this way.

I find that I am not as upset by traffic delays. I can focus on what is the next most important step. I am much more focused on the task at hand. I remember the things that are important and let go of the things that are not. Gratitude has become a way of life for me.

Speaking of gratitude, recently, I delivered a repaired circular saw to a client. The saw had been passed on to him from his late father-in-law.  Both husband and wife were very glad to see me since In recent times they have been isolated from many of their friends. It was so fun to socialize with them and meet the new addition to their family, a sweet dog they had adopted from Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. A special place in my heart because we adopted Eldred from the same place.

I am most thankful and grateful for these client visits, as well as chatting with neighbors on my daily walks with Eldred.

My fondest hope is that you enjoy this holiday season in whatever way you celebrate it. Give us a call If we can help you. We are truly grateful to be of service.
