Do you celebrate special occasions?

It is so amazing that we adopted Eldred one year ago; a big anniversary for our pack. Eldred fit right in with us even though she was picked up as a street dog, in the Bakersfield area.

We all celebrated by visiting the Martinez Marina Park. Eldred got so excited walking on the trails, sniffing gopher holes, watching all the water birds, and meeting other dogs. The Canada geese and Swans were just a big as Eldred, so we could not let her run free.

Eldred is such a great tracker. She can follow any trail just with her nose. Her tracking skills sometimes make it hard to walk our neighborhood when she sniffs a skunk or raccoon trail, she gets so excited.

It was our first time visiting this park, and we all enjoyed the beautiful views, the lovely weather and just getting outdoors for fun. This shared bonding on the walking trail is such a special time for us.

Do you celebrate relationships, that which make the world go round?

Joan and my anniversary is tomorrow, February 14th! Yes, Valentine’s Day! We’ve been married for 39 happy years.

We chalk up our success to our many shared interests and values. We both enjoy deep conversation, travel, reading, the love of animals (although I think Joan likes goats best), altruism, the love of our family and friends; just to name a few.

We also share The Minimalists philosophy, “Love people, not things. Because the other way around never works. “

I am so grateful for being married to Joan. We explore so many new subjects and share fun adventures. Even when we don’t agree, we find a way to go with the flow.

What makes the world go round for you? Call if we can help you with those things that you want to go round, but don’t! They might just need a handyman or electrician!
