Springtime and the Eco-Systems in Our Backyard!

I am grateful for all the different eco-systems in our backyard. The river, the shaded area close to the fence and all the potted plants on our patio. Geraniums, Jade, succulents, and baby’s tears, abound in the heavy shade next to the fence.

I have been removing baby’s tears on the gated entry rocks. That area has heavy shade, and is especially well suited for the baby’s tears.

While I garden, I have a new assistant, Eldred, our new dog. She likes to sit next to me while I work, giving me encouragement.

Eldred sits leaning against me as I work, just to be close.

Today we are expecting 94 degree weather, so Eldred and I will be indoors planning our next project in the garden. Maybe we can help you spruce up your deck or patio. Just give us a call.

Do you have some spring projects in mind?

Would you like some help with them?

Everywhere you look it’s Springtime!

Last Wednesday turned into a perfect work day. Waking up rested at 6:30 am, having a relaxed cup of coffee, then taking a morning walk with Joan and our dog Eldred.

Traffic was especially easy, no accidents, delays or drama. I think the spring break is over and school is back in.

At my morning appointment I successfully troubleshot and repaired a bathroom fan that stopped working. Looks like pest control in the attic knocked out the wiring.

In between appointments, I enjoyed a walk at Briones Park, off Reliez Valley road. The trails were very soggy, so be careful. I saw hundreds of wild flowers, standing pools of rain water and two coyotes. The coyotes were surprised when I rounded the curve on the trail, and both took off running. I was shocked at first, that there were unattended dogs on the trail, until I realized those were coyotes on the run. I loved the surprise views at each turn in the trail.

My last appointment of the day was to fix the GFCI outlet that my client installed. GFCI outlets must be installed correctly or they do not work.

Then a smooth drive home. My return commute is so much easier if I avoid the congested commute hours.

Who could ask for a better work flow day then that? At every step, turn, walkway, hillside, and trail, the splash of wild flowers, mustard flowers and green fields filled my day with wonder.

Speaking of Springtime … Do you have some spring projects in mind?
